The Tree Arena is a website about experiments and adventures with Trees in South Kerry, Ireland. You’ll notice a focus on native Irish Trees and how we can have more of them in our beautiful country. What we can do for trees, What trees can do for us? And a whole lot of other less Monty Python esque questions.
The main labourer here is Dave, ever since as a five year old he broke a branch off a Cherry Tree and planted in his front garden he’s been able to grow trees. Since moving to South Kerry several years ago he’s realised they maybe the only things he’s able to grow. Ever since he convinced his partner to leave city life for a bit of land, he’s been trying to figure out what to do with it, so he’s doing things with trees. This is that story.
The name Tree Arena comes from the first area in our garden where we planted trees. It’s also a terrible pun on the Dublin venue The Three Arena. Yiu can expect more terrible puns.
